Job fairs this week at Home Chef

Home Chef, a meal preparation company in San Bernardino, is hosting two upcoming career fairs to fill a number of positions at its distribution facility.

The first will take place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday June 30, followed by another from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 1.

Both fairs will take place at 1445 Tippecanoe Ave., Suite 200.

The company said it would hire “on-site” associates for entry-level positions.

The starting hourly wage is $ 15.50, and after 90 days, employees get a 50-cent raise. Benefits include medical, dental and vision care, which begins the month after hire. There is a 401k plan with a business match. Day and night shift options are also available.

The positions, which require little or no experience, are open to production associates, warehouse roles, sanitation and food quality.

Pacific PPE Corp., also known as 3PE, signed a lease at 7580 Cherry Ave. in Fontana, according to owner Dermody Properties.

3PE, which manufactures personal protective equipment commonly known as PPE, will occupy the entire 84,364 square foot building for five years. Financial terms of the lease were not disclosed.

Neighboring tenants include Mercedes-Benz, Target, Cardtronics, LG, and FedEx.

“Location was the primary driver of 3PE for this property,” said Matt Mexia, partner at Dermody Properties.

Dermody acquired 7580 Cherry Ave. in 2020, as well as 7630 Cherry Ave., which was recently leased to Tremco Construction Products Group.

Phil Lombardo, Andrew Starnes and Cruise Adams of Cushman & Wakefield represented Dermody in the transaction. Vivian Wang of NAI Capital Commercial represented 3PE.

Las Vegas-based SAFE Structure Designs will manufacture custom helicopter and wheelie maintenance stands for the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Terms of the contract with the Sheriff’s Department were not disclosed by SAFE Structure Designs.

According to the company, the ergonomic mounts give technicians better access to the engines, transmission and main rotor system of their EC145 helicopters.

Hanley Investment Group represented the seller, Adler Realty Investments, who completed the mall in 2018-2019. The buyer was a 1031 private investor based in the Inland Empire.

The 8,400 square foot commercial property was built in 2019 and is located adjacent to Sprouts at 16948 S. Highland Ave.

The mall includes Jack in the Box, Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Café Rio, Oggi’s Restaurant, Pacific Dental, Quick Quack Car Wash, and Mountain View Tire & Auto Service.

Logistics lease in Chino

Logistics provider Pacific Asiana LLC has leased a 182,454 square foot warehouse in Chino, according to NAI Capital.

Senior Vice President Vivian Wang of the Industrial Services Group of NAI Capital Commercial in Ontario represented the tenant. The owner, Eastgroup Properties, was represented by Lee & Associates.

Terms of the lease were not disclosed.

“Competition for functional warehouse space remains intense and availability continues to be low. Wang said in a statement.

The building at 4980 Eucalyptus Ave. was completed in 1988.
