Premier League transfer rumors: Burnley rivals at EPL negotiate £ 3.4million raid, Real Madrid want Leicester City star

For Saturday’s goalless home draw against Norwich City, the Clarets were without skipper Ben Mee (ankle), winger Maxwel Cornet (hamstrings), signing day Connor Roberts (thigh) and midfielder Dale Stephens (ankle), while striker Matej Vydra fell onto his back after being caught by a punch from Canarian goalkeeper Tim Krul and was eventually forced to leave.

Roberts, who has yet to play for Burnley following a £ 2.5million transfer from Swansea City after injuring his groin at Euro 2020, will report with Wales, while Cornet should join forces with Côte d’Ivoire.

But Dyche hopes the pair will come back eager to leave: “Connor is different, he’s going with Wales but we made it clear to them that he barely played, he played 45 minutes so he’s a little late.

“He’s generally in good shape, very fit actually, like he is as a boy.

“Collo (Nathan Collins) had a game today, which is good, and Maxwel, we hope that if he goes, which appears to be the case, he will come back fit and healthy.

“Dale Stephens is late but we’re not worried about injuries this season which is nice and only adds to the level of fitness of the players.

“Maxwel showed strong signs from the start to affect us in a positive way.”

On Vydra and Mee, Dyche added, “He just got hit (Vydra).

“Ben had a twist and a blow to the ankle on Friday, we had him scanned and it’s nothing too serious, but he swelled up and it was too much for today (Saturday).”
