Vintage market in the holy city

Christmas concert through the ages

What: The King’s Counterpoint presents its annual Christmas concert featuring a host of holiday favorites, including sacred and secular Christmas music through the centuries, from medieval to modern. This is a ticketless event, so get there early to ensure a good seat.

‘Snow Queen’

Madrigal dinner

Holiday Burning Camp

What: In this 3-day camp, teens and pre-teens will experience different printmaking mediums including screen printing and screen printing. Discovery day: Shape Up

What: Go back in time and explore the Joseph Manigault house in search of shapes. Explore the architectural details and decorative objects of this historic home in search of geometric shapes and patterns. Create shaped houses and build with bricks in the garden. Discovery Day is designed for young learners to explore the museum, historic homes, and Dill Sanctuary with a parent or guardian.

Holiday pops

What: Bring your family and friends to enjoy the best time of year with this annual holiday tradition. Holiday Pops will feature backing vocals, dancers, guest singers and pipers with special appearances from Frosty the Snowman, Saint Nick and more. The festive performance will feature beloved orchestral selections from Tchaikovsky and Duke Ellington’s “The Nutcracker”, Christmas carols and traditional tunes.

Christmas candlelight experience

What: For the first time ever, the historic Magnolia Plantation home will be open to the public on two special evenings. Visit Magnolia Plantation for Christmas carols, holiday appetizers, and wine or beer on the porch. Tickets include two drinks per person, snacks, and the ability to explore the plantation house at your own pace.

Holiday Festival of Lights

What: Every night until December 31, drive through James Island County Park to see the dazzling three-mile display of lights, including a newly reconstructed exhibit on the Cooper River Bridge. Guests can also park the car and explore the Santa Claus Village and Winter Wonderland Gardens, featuring mouthwatering treats, festival gift shops, tours with Santa Claus, and more.
